We are encouraging all local residents to dedicate some (or all) of their outside space to wildlife-friendly plants, ponds and insect lodges.

We acheived our 2021 target of 7000 square metres (that is roughly the size of a football pitch)
So we have now set a new target for 2022/2023 to create a second football pitch sized patchwork nature reserve

If you would like to get involved please send us an email with a picture of your nature reserve spot and a rough estimate of the area in square metres.
Here are some things you could include and some things to avoid in your wildlife friendly patches
- Wildlife friendly plants
- Ponds
- Bug hotels, wildlife habitats and bird feeders
- Unmown grass
- Pesticide and/or herbicides
- Frequently mown grass
- Hard landscaping
- Overly neat and tidy
